Althea Vega receives Asian Achiever Award
In a truly momentous event, Althea Vega received the esteemed “Asian Achiever Award” recognition for Outstanding Performance in Film Contributions at the recently concluded 27th Global Excellence Awards last October 16, 2014 held at the Meralco Theater, Philippines.
DANGAL NG BAYAN & ASIAN ACHIEVER AWARD is a Grand Tribute to world-class achievers in Business, Public Service, Entertainment & Arts, Sports, Education, Science & Invention and other major professional fields. Asian Achiever Awards (AAA or Asia Pacific Achiever Awards) is also a prestigious tribute to world-class achievers based in any of the countries within the Asia Pacific Region organized by the Asia Pacific Awards Council (APAC) and the Who’s Who in Asia Pacific Awards Committee.
Althea’s elegant gown for this event is another of Ito Curata’s wonderful fashion creations.

Althea Vega at the BAFTA 2014
In U.K.’s version of the OSCARS, the “BAFTA” (The British Academy of Film and Television Arts), Althea Vega graced the luminous star-studded event last February 16, 2014 held at London’s Royal Opera House together with the rest of the “Metro Manila” team headed by director Sean Ellis and Producer Mathilde Charpentier, along with co-actors Jake Macapagal and JM Rodriguez. This year’s BAFTA was hosted by British actor Stephen Fry. “Metro Manila” was nominated in the Best Film Not in the English Language category alongside other powerful films like “The Great Beauty”, “Wadjda”, “The Act of Killing” and “Blue Is The Warmest Color”.
Althea Vega’s gown for the BAFTA was crafted by the talented celebrity fashion designer Ito Curata.
